the first patroits of the 21st century

we all remember where we were and how we heard about the attacks on the world trade centers and pentagon. our shock, anger, disbelief and horror. but we also need to remember our pride.

i think about the firemen and police who rushed in as others ran out. the ordinary citizens who helped one another to safety. the priest killed by a jumper from the towers as he comforted the injured and administered the last rights to the dead. and the travelers of FLIGHT 93, who surmised their preplanned fate at the hands of the hijackers, and fought back.

they embodied the spirit of AMERICA, and from them, through their actions,we can draw strength. it was the minute men of 1776 that gave us the tradition of citizens defending our REPUBLIC, and so it was on 9-11.

what is our responsibility going forward? to remember their sacrifice. to tell our children that it was practitioners of the" religion of peace", that carried out these attacks. members of the same religion who the U.S. supplied and trained to fight soviet aggression in afghanistan. who we defended from saddam husseins attack on kuwait and feared attack on saudi arabia. the same members of the" religion of peace", we defended from ethnic cleansing in bosnia.

teach your kids that as a result of failing to respond to the attack on the USS Cole, the embassy bombings in kenya and tanzania, and the first world trade center attack, we led our enemies to believe we were weak, further emboldening them.

tell them that these men and women believed an age old saying about AMERICANS and what AMERICA stands for, that we would rather DIE ON OUR FEET THAN LIVE ON OUR KNEES. last and certainly not least, remember those still deployed and our veterans. they continue to take the fight to the enemy, and have kept us free from attack since 9-11.

TODAY, TOMORROW, ALWAYS. REMEMBER.

this is a re-post from last year. we are on the eve of an iman, with ties to questionable middle east organizations, beginning construction on a mosque, a couple blocks from the worst act of terrorism ever perpetrated on AMERICAN soil.

this would be the equivalent of allowing japan to build a memorial next to where the ARIZONA lays, in PEARL HARBOR, in many peoples opinion. the government and those on the left loudly proclaim that the iman has a right to do this in our country according to the freedom of religion.

ask yourselves this. when is the last time the left ever stood up for your freedom of religion? why is the government putting pressure on TERRY JONES to not burn korans, but mandated the burning of BIBLES in afghanistan?

i know the story line is something like, we don't want to offend our friends or cause any greater risk to our troops. really? if that's the case why did/do we allow the mainstream media to report on everything the military is trying to do to combat the terrorist? why has the government not shut down wikileaks? why is the government trying to bring the 9/11 mastermind to NEW YORK CITY for a public trial? or considering putting CIA interrogators on trial?

it's sad how some on the left think the towers were brought down by a controlled explosion, orchestrated by BUSH and CHENEY, while considering those who question the governments deference to the the religion of pieces, nuts.

  1. They attacked us not for what is not-so-good about America, but because of all that is great about America.

This "Bridge-builder" is exactly the wolf in sheep's clothing that you and I know he is, but the leftists are so willing to capitulate that we will soon have a victory monument standing just a landing gear's toss away from one of the most sacred pieces of land on American soil.

And while I believe Terry Jones is a complete and total imbecile, even more amazing is the hypocrisy and complete lack of common sense displayed by Barack Hussein Obama.

  2. hypocrisy and lack of common sense doesn't begin to scratch the surface, and should be the new DNC motto. their response to these events has to be planned, no one could blindly stumble around and fuck things up this bad for so long unintentionally.

  3. Like I said over on Solly's blog, more people were worked up over Saturday afternoon college football than were worried about 9-11 or remembering it. Most Americans are shallow and complacent; that's how we ended up with that scumbag in office and how we're invaded daily from Mexico and why America is a shell of what we once were.
